Normally, each July the Wellington Branch NZA&HAA holds a large militaria auction.
However, 2020 the issues and lockdowns in regard to the Covid-19 pandemic saw the cancellation of our July auction. With a full catalogue in hiatus over this period we tentatively booked our normal venue in Porirua for November 2020. The move to Level One has allowed us to complete the catalogue and to plough on with our auction arrangements and organisation. The catalogue has been printed and went to NZ Post on the 19th October 2020.
2020 will be the 36th year of operation, and the Wellington Branch has certainly seen many milestones. We take pride in the fact that as a voluntary organization we have run this significant annual activity continuously over the last 36 years.
The date for the 2020 auction is confirmed as the 20th – 21st November 2020.
For 2020 our auction dates are:
· Friday 20th November - Viewing 4pm to 9pm
· Saturday 21st November - Viewing 7am - 9am - Auction starts at 9am
· Sunday 22nd November - Viewing 7am - 9am Auction starts at 9am
Entry is by Auction Catalogue and the payment of a $10.00 registration. As in the past 2 years everyone will be required to wear a ‘year specific’ lanyard and to show this on your return each time you leave the venue.
The change in Firearms Laws means that the permitting process for certain firearms and their parts has change significantly. We will have Arms Officers present to facilitate these transfers.
Already we have started to accumulate items for what we trust will be our normal July auction in 2021.
